Do you want to watch a TV series or movie and don’t know which platform to find it on? This is something that happens to us daily, and the most common thing is to search for it in all possible catalogs, one by one (because, these days, who doesn’t have Netflix, HBO, Disney+, and Amazon Prime… at least?). But there is a much simpler and faster way to find out which platform each fiction is on. Or, better said, two ways.

“Google it” has never been so effective

The first option is obvious, and you’ve probably used it on several occasions: searching for the title of that movie or series on Google. But you don’t need to delve into an article on a website that tells you if it’s on Netflix or HBO in your country. Instead, you just need to take a look at the right column of the search results and explore the information in its panel.

Usually, this panel displays the platform where that series or movie is available. It’s a simple icon that allows you to quickly see if it’s on Netflix, HBO Max, or any other streaming service. However, it’s not always 100% accurate because streaming catalogs can change, and it may take some time for Google to update this information. Additionally, it may not include smaller platforms like Filmin, so it’s most useful for more popular movies and series.

Use JustWatch and forget about problems

The best way to find out which platform a movie or series is on is by searching for it on JustWatch. This free app has a 100% up-to-date catalog of absolutely all streaming platforms, and it also lists all the ones where it’s available. In other words, if a movie is on Netflix, HBO Max, and Apple TV+, it will show you all the options.

But that’s not all. It also includes places where you can buy or rent that movie or series for a fee. In other words, it doesn’t just list the ones included in regular subscriptions. Justwatch, without a doubt, is a perfect tool to keep from getting lost in the vast catalog of streaming services.
