Twilight Princess now has an unofficial HD update for PC

TiredAndOnFire’s Twilight Princess HD texture pack now has a partial release for Dusklight, the decompilation project that makes The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess run natively on PC. The result is a sharper, fan-made visual upgrade for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on PC, not some newly announced Nintendo remaster.

The pack doesn’t rely on automated upscaling. Its textures are redone by hand so they stay close to the original art style, and you can combine it with Henriko’s pack or with Wii U The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD assets to fill in the files that still aren’t covered.

It’s made for Dusklight, which lets you run The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess natively on PC with an original copy of the game. You also get mod support, smoother performance, and preservation work focused on the 2006 GameCube and Wii look, including more accurate color timing and bloom.

If you’ve been holding off for a cleaner, more current way to replay The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, this is probably one to grab. Nintendo still hasn’t confirmed a Switch or Switch 2 version, even with 2026 rumor chatter picking up after the Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2 was announced, and the only official remaster is still the 2016 Wii U release.

You can find the current partial pack through the Dusklight PC modding scene, though you’ll still need your own copy of the game.
