We really liked Ubisoft’s new Star Wars game here. In our analysis we made it clear, as the potential it had and the great outlaw adventure it offered was worthy of being played and enjoyed. Was there room for improvement? Clearly, yes, like any game. The good thing is that Ubisoft knew it.
Today, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have released a new update, 1.2, which brings improvements for both console and PC. They call this Title Update 2 and it is the latest in an ongoing series of updates that will help smooth out the minor glitches in the game.
Ubisoft has published an extensive list of patch notes on its website, stating: “In this second Title Update, we have focused on improving your speeder’s camera and its responsiveness, among other adjustments to ensure that your adventures are more amazing and rewarding.”
For those who install Title Update 2, its size varies from one platform to another. From 3 GB on PS5 to almost 6 GB on PC.
Everything fixed in Star Wars Outlaws patch 2
This update has been used to focus on the speeder and camera movement, but most importantly, they have added more fixes to the stealth experience in the game.
The AI detection, the number of NPCs and their positioning, the patrol routes, camera detection, and environmental opportunities have been adjusted to allow for a smoother and less challenging experience for players who are struggling. Stealth missions have been a point of contention since the game’s release, and Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have already released fixes for this issue in the title’s update 1.
For all platforms, they have improved stability and performance across the board, in addition to resolving FPS drops for those using a system with an Intel ARC GPU.
To try to give more life to Kay, they have improved the animation of her movements and have enhanced the AI’s reactions to environmental actions, from exploration to combat. Ubisoft has also listed all the issues they have fixed, such as Kay not receiving any damage from enemy bursts or the controller presets not being saved when players played on different consoles of the same platform.
In general, this patch has added a significant amount of improvements to the game compared to the first title patch, all of which have been uploaded to the Ubisoft website for players to read.
