Updates for Adobe Reader and Acrobat fix security vulnerability

A security update has been released by Adobe for Adobe Reader and Acrobat for Windows and Mac. It fixes vulnerabilities in the apps that could let attackers take control of your computer.
So far, Adobe knows of no cases of the vulnerability being exploited, but it’s obviously important to fix it. The company recommends updating the following programs:
Windows:
– Adobe Reader XI 11.0.08 and earlier.
– Adobe Reader X 10.1.11 and earlier.
– Adobe Acrobat XI 11.0.8 and earlier.
– Adobe Acrobat X 10.1.11 and earlier.
Mac:
– Adobe Reader XI 11.0.7 and earlier.
– Adobe Reader X 10.1.10 and earlier.
– Adobe Acrobat XI 11.0.07 and earlier.
– Adobe Acrobat X 10.1.10 and earlier.
You can activate automatic updates for your apps by going into the Help menu, and then clicking ‘Check for Updates. Alternatively, you can download the Adobe Reader update here for Windows or here for Mac. For Adobe Acrobat, here for Windows, and here for Mac.
