WandaVision gets new 2026 Doomsday links: why it matters now

WandaVision has started to look less like optional Marvel homework and more like required viewing before Avengers: Doomsday, especially after new 2026 reports tied the Disney+ series more directly to Marvel’s next big MCU crossover.

If you passed on it, you missed Wanda Maximoff’s chaos magic, the Scarlet Witch reveal, the Darkhold, and the groundwork for Vision, Billy, and Tommy. All of that fed into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and it could matter again if Elizabeth Olsen returns, even though Marvel still hasn’t confirmed anything.

Those 2026 reports also describe WandaVision, Agatha All Along, and VisionQuest as a loose trilogy with possible Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars relevance. October 14, 2026 is the date for VisionQuest, with White Vision, a possible Ultron comeback, and a mysterious boy who could turn out to be Tommy reincarnated.

The same reports say Avengers: Doomsday may lean harder into magic, which helps explain why WandaVision ideas like runes, Darkhold lore, magic absorption, and Doctor Doom theories about a Latverian witch prophecy, or harnessing Wanda Maximoff’s power, are back in play. So if you’re catching up on the MCU, WandaVision is one to grab, even after Olsen said in July 2026 that she knew nothing about a return.
