Talking about Space Marine 2 takes us back to the past, to a time when players had the opportunity to enjoy its first installment, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

In September 2011, the guys from Relic Entertainment, with THQ as the publisher, gave birth to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, a video game released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, as well as a PC version.

The reception the title had was spectacular, as although it didn’t invent anything within the action genre, it was very fun, frantic and with a devilish pace, one of those where you can only have a big smile. After that, problems came for THQ, the saga stopped and there were no more news about it.

We had to wait until December 2021, during a cinematic shown at The Game Awards of that year, to see that the announcement of a sequel was already official. Applause, joy, and jubilation from all the players who had the opportunity to play its first part.

This time, the title is not being developed by Relic Entertainment, but by Saber Interactive. On the other hand, the publisher has become Focus Entertainment.

Taking advantage of the entire universe created around Warhammer 40K, the Saber team sends players to the Avarax and Kodaku systems. However, there are new features compared to its first installment, such as a greater use of counterattacks, parries, etc. The best part? We won’t do it alone.

Once again, the game offers us the option to play solo or invite two other friends to join us. This way, all the action takes place in cooperative mode for up to three players. Taking into account the experience of the previous title, we can already tell you that this will be the best way to play it due to the laughs you will have with your friends.

It is worth noting that we will have a total of six to choose from, each with their own peculiarities: Tactical, Assault, Vanguard, Bulwark, Sniper, and Heavy. We will be able to customize their abilities and aesthetic elements to make the marine special that best suits our needs. Likewise, we will also be able to play online against other players in 6 vs 6 matches.
