Warota is now official: a Minecraft-like village-building RPG

Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL is coming to PC, with a Steam release set for Q4 2026. Team EARTH WARS is developing it, One or Eight INC. is publishing, and its INDIE Live Expo reveal framed it as a voxel village-building action RPG set in Luna, where you’re rebuilding a town right next to an idol Demon King’s castle.

The trailer and official reveal make the basic loop pretty clear: gather resources, drop down more than 30 kinds of buildings, put together defenses, and fight in real time when the Demon King’s live concerts kick off monster attacks. It has some Minecraft and Dragon Quest Builders DNA in the setup, but the concert-triggered chaos gives it a much stranger, rowdier spin.

Another big part of the game is its class system. You can swap between more than 20 classes just by changing hats, with roles like farmer, warrior, and mage, and villagers use that same setup too, so you can keep production, the economy, and your defenses moving before the next wave lands. If you like city-builders that also throw you into action combat and class swapping, this looks like one to watch. The main hook, though, is clearly the Demon King’s idol persona, not any stated K-pop angle.

Team EARTH WARS previously made LOST EPIC, and One or Eight INC. is handling publishing duties for Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL.

Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL was announced at INDIE Live Expo, got a trailer in April 2026, and is scheduled to hit PC through Steam in Q4 2026. PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are planned for 2027.
