Coming on November 18th, Bioware’s role playing sequel Dragon Age: Inquisition now has its official trailer. Watch it below.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is the third game in the fantasy role playing series. It is set on a continent called Thedas, like the previous games, although its map is supposed to be much larger than them. The game has been made with the Frostbite 3 engine, most famous for powering the impressive looking Battlefield 4.

Like Bioware’s other major role playing franchise, Mass Effect, Dragon Age: Inquisition will have a sprawling storyline with lots of opportunities for players to shape how the plot develops. Whether or not anyone will be happy with the ending is another story, but Bioware is sure to have learned lessons from the controversy surrounding Mass Effect 3’s ending. You’ll play an ‘Inquisitor’, and in typical role playing style, will be able to mold her or him to look like you want, with abilities that suit how you want to play.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will also have a multiplayer mode for the first time, with four player cooperative quests, which are not integrated into the single player story. It will be a ‘dungeon crawling four player co-op experience’, built on the successes of Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode.

What has been thankfully learned from that is your multiplayer experience won’t affect the single player campaign. In Mass Effect 3, rewards and experience gained in multiplayer games could influence your progress in the main campaign, meaning gamers felt they lost out if they didn’t want to play online.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available for PC, PlayStation 3 and 4, and Xbox 360/One.
