We finally know who made the new Zelda, and they have been working on the series for years

It is, honestly, a bit ridiculous that Nintendo desperately tries to hide which studios are behind their minor games. For months they asked us to wait for the credits of Princess Peach: Showtime! (only to discover that the studio was Good Feel) and now it’s the turn of the secrecy with The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. However, it seems that the Internet has figured out the responsible studio.

Where we’re going, we don’t need remakes

Apparently, if you pre-order Echoes of Wisdom, you can see on the Switch itself that the game is made by Grezzo. And what have they done at Grezzo to deserve this honor? Well, not only the fabulous remake of Link’s Awakening (which almost completely changed the game) in 2019, but also the remasters and ports of Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask for Nintendo 3DS. The last thing they did for Nintendo, in fact, is the failed Miitopia, in which the company placed many – perhaps too many – hopes.

And they were more than decent, it must be said. Grezzo is also the studio that handled Four Swords for DSi, and Nintendo trusted them again to bring Luigi’s Mansion to 3DS. Their reward has been the opportunity to work not only on an original game but on the first one where fans will be able to control Princess Zelda, who will have the ability to copy objects and introduce new mechanics to the saga. So, for those who say that effort doesn’t pay off in Hyrule.
