Monster Hunter Rise fans rejoice! Here’s what you need to know about the latest DLC

Capcom has been on a roll for a few years now. And if the Resident Evil Remake it is launching is enjoying and selling a lot, its Monster Hunter saga is not far behind.

Monster Hunter World was the resurgence of the IP, selling more than 10 million copies in a short time. Then they released Monster Hunter Rise, less demanding but just as fun.

Now, as it has sold a lot and well, they have decided to release an expansion that is integrated into the story of the game, specifically in the final part. If you want to play the Sunbreak DLC, read on to find out how.

How to start Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak DLC

Sunbreak is not intended to be something that new hunters can jump right into if it’s their first time booting up Monster Hunter Rise on their consoles or PC.

Instead, this DLC is meant to essentially fit near the end of the game, at least in terms of the story for the base game. This is exactly what you have to do to get to the new DLC.

• Step 1: Progress through the main story until you complete the seven-star main mission titled Thunder Snake Goddess. This mission is basically the final boss of the main game’s story and requires you to find and fight the Thunder Snake Narwa. If you want to do it as quickly as possible, note that to get to this point you only need to do Hub Quests, and no Village Quests are required. You can also access high-level equipment that will facilitate the first hunts.
• Step 2: Once you have completed the main quest, locate a new NPC on the bridge near the entrance of Kamura village.
• Step 3: Rondine, the NPC, will give you a request to hunt a Daimyo Hermitaur in the Shrine Ruins.
• Step 4: Accept and complete this hunt to meet Fiorayne in the village. They will ask you to accompany them to the Elgado outpost.
• Step 5: After completing some tutorial-type tasks, you will be able to enjoy the new region and all its deadly monsters.

The Sunbreak DLC is not new, in case you have not played Monster Hunter Rise before. It is a DLC that came out in 2022 and has been updated in content, missions and items.

If you did not play the base game at the time, this 2023 is perfect to get back into the game and discover an adventure that will keep you busy for more than 100 hours in front of the console or computer.
