Xbox Game Pass reveals September Wave 2: Black Ops 6, Minecraft Dungeons II

Xbox Game Pass has laid out its September 2026 Wave 2 lineup, with day-one releases hitting the subscription service from September 15 through September 29.

Things start with RuneScape: Dragonwilds on September 15. September 16 is packed, with Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana II, Routine, and Ultimate Sheep Raccoon all landing that day. Kernel Hearts and Ninja Gaiden 4 follow on September 17. Kernel Hearts looks like one of the more interesting additions in the batch, mixing action RPG and roguelike ideas and throwing in optional co-op. And among the smaller picks, the dark fairy-tale metroidvania Well Dweller looks like one to watch.

Later in the month, Xbox Game Pass adds Dune: Awakening on September 22, Mad King Redemption on September 23, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on September 25, and Minecraft Dungeons II on September 29. Xbox Game Pass lists Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for Game Pass Premium, as well as Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

If you use Game Pass for big franchises and a good spread of indies, this wave looks like a strong one. Gears of War: E-Day isn’t part of September Wave 2, though. It arrives day one on October 6, 2026, as a UE5 prequel set 14 years before the original game, with younger Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago. Xbox also hasn’t confirmed the current rumors about tier changes or a possible end to day-one releases in 2027.

According to Xbox Game Pass, Minecraft Dungeons II will be available on Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
