Xbox Game Pass Starter is now on Meta Horizon+: 50+ games for Quest

Meta has updated Horizon+, its subscription service for Quest headsets, with Xbox Game Pass Starter. For Quest owners, that adds access to more than 50 Xbox games at no extra charge, Meta says.

The Meta Horizon+ subscription costs $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year, and it now includes 10 hours of cloud gaming each month. You can stream games like Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Grounded, DayZ, and Overcooked 2 onto a big virtual screen inside the headset. And if a supported title allows it, you can also download it to your PC or Xbox for unlimited play on those devices.

If you already use Meta Quest for Meta’s VR extras and its rotating game catalog, this update is an easy one to take. The bigger issue is the 10-hour cloud limit. If you want to treat the Quest like your regular Xbox screen, that cap is going to feel pretty tight.

Meta also says a future Meta Quest software update will let Touch controllers mimic an Xbox gamepad. That should smooth out compatibility, and it means you may not need a separate controller for as many games.

This bundle builds on Xbox Cloud Gaming already available on Meta Quest, and it follows the June 2025 release of the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition. It also gives Meta a little more to show for Horizon+ after the U.S. price increases, while helping Microsoft press harder on gaming after the Activision Blizzard deal and the company’s restructuring.
