Paramount+ says Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone has become its most-watched TV show worldwide after the original series wrapped in December 2024. That’s a new milestone for the franchise.
The streamer says Yellowstone now sits at number one in 17 countries and is trending in 25. That sounds like more than the usual spike a show gets right after a finale.
No surprise Paramount+ is making noise about it. Yellowstone still performs like the kind of catalog title people keep coming back to, and people who watch the business have been pointing to Sheridan’s series for years as one of the shows that pushed the Western back into the mainstream on both streaming and linear TV.
There’s a wrinkle here, though. Internationally, Yellowstone streams on Paramount+. In the U.S., viewers watch it on Peacock.
The show had plenty of momentum before the finale hit. Paramount+ says that when Yellowstone’s final run premiered in November 2024, it delivered the streamer’s biggest international series premiere. On Paramount Network, the U.S. airing of Yellowstone drew more than 21 million viewers over three days.
For anyone keeping tabs on the Sheridan universe, Paramount+ says Dutton Ranch opened with 12.9 million global views, Marshals reached 19.3 million viewers, and 6666 is still in development. Dutton Ranch has also run into controversy after actor Ed Harris said he felt “misled.”
You can stream Yellowstone on Paramount+ outside the U.S. and on Peacock in the U.S.
