If you have already gotten used to using Copilot, you may love this news: Microsoft has already released a specific Copilot application for Android devices. This way, it will no longer be necessary to use Bing to access the Microsoft assistant.

Its launch has been silent, so much so that we didn’t even know about its existence until a week later. However, it is only available for Android, for now. iOS users will have to wait a little longer, although it is uncertain until when.

When you take a closer look at the Copilot application, you will see that it doesn’t differ much from ChatGPT. Through the app, you will be able to do the same things you did with Copilot through Bing: generate images with DALL-E, write emails or other documents, etc. Let’s not forget that it also includes free access to GPT-4, which we can use in ChatGPT but paying for its Plus version.

The launch of this application has occurred one month after Microsoft officially changed the name of Bing Chat to Copilot. Redmond launched its AI initiative earlier this year and integrated it with Bing, its search engine. Now, Microsoft has completely abandoned the name Bing Chat to make Copilot an experience comparable to ChatGPT (it even has its own website).

What will be the next step for Microsoft? Just like in OpenAI, it seems that it will be the development of applications for Copilot. We will also have to wait for the release of Copilot on iOS. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t use it on our iPhones or iPads: we just need to access it through the Bing app, which is available on the App Store.
