We already knew Google planned to offer a YouTube streaming music service but there haven’t been many details about it. The detectives over at Android Police have uncovered details about the music subscription service, including pricing and how it’ll work.

YouTube Music Key pricing via Android PoliceYouTube Music Key will offer ad-free streaming and audio-only playback. We’ve also seen YouTube’s offline mode, which will be part of the YouTube Music Key subscription service. The advantage of using YouTube as a platform is the myriad of remixes and covers available on the site. This provides users with some fresh content that Google Play Music doesn’t offer. This also gives YouTube a more powerful suggestion engine, since it can analyze the types of video you watch and the music you listen to.

It seems redundant for Google to release a second music subscription service since they already have Google Play Music All Access. Android Police reports Play Music will be rebranded as “Google Play Music Key,” and will be released in conjunction with YouTube Music Key.

The service will cost $9.99 per month and includes both YouTube and Google Play Music Key. There’s no information if Google Play Music Key subscribers will get the service for a discounted rate.
