In the cinematic realm, Zack Snyder has shared details about his experience selecting Ben Affleck to portray Batman, noting that his creative approach was both rudimentary and effective. During a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Snyder revealed that he made a simple drawing using a marker to place Batman’s cowl over an image of Affleck. This unconventional method helped convince the director that Affleck was the perfect candidate for the iconic role, highlighting that he managed to capture both the essence of the hero and that of the millionaire Bruce Wayne.
With a simple drawing, he had it all clear
Snyder praised Affleck, stating that, for him, he is the best Bruce Wayne that has ever existed and highlighted his imposing physique as a key feature he wanted to see in his vision of Batman. “I needed him to be a real fighter… someone who can hurt you,” Snyder commented, reinforcing his vision of a Batman who possesses both strength and presence.
On the other hand, fans should prepare for the arrival of The Batman Part II, starring Robert Pattinson, which will be released in theaters on October 1, 2027, promising to bring a new dimension to the Dark Knight universe on the big screen. With this mix of news about the past and future of the character, fans have a lot to look forward to in the world of cinema and video games.
