Automatically delete files based on their date
You probably waste a lot of hard drive space with files that you don't really need to keep: program files that already installed, documents you no longer need, photos you took a while ago and have already uploaded to the web, and so on.
With Cyber-D's AutoDelete you can easily get rid of these useless files every time you launch Windows, thus avoiding an endless storage of junk files that may end up eating too much drive space.
All you have to do is specify a given folder and select which files should be deleted, according to the time they were created. The time range goes from one day to one year, but although you can select multiple folders, Cyber-D's AutoDelete doesn’t support having a different time selection for each of them.
The program is quick and effective, but it has one main drawback: it only works on Windows startup, meaning you can't have those selected directories cleaned up on demand. Also, it didn't show any "status window" although I had enabled the option.
Though still a bit limited in options, Cyber-D's AutoDelete helps you easily clean up folders that tend to get crowded with junk files.

How to use Auto Delete for Time specific purges. Hello All. some old posts to this issue have suggested the use of Linux crontab, but for those like me who are not croknowlegeable in this, Based on WD MyCloud network connected drive, a simple method it to :
1-Create shares you want to use in WD drive. map the WD drive top level share, on a windows computer(having set FTP and NFS active on WD drive) over your network.
(if you want sub directories, you will have to create them from windows Mapped access)
2-download Cyber D`s Auto Delete for windows- this allows you to set up a compex delete plan(in Config.exe with one program), and then run it as often as you want, with a different autodelete.exe program, via windows task scheduler.(many youtube vids show how to do this)
I am planning to use this to delete CCTV footage stored on MYcloud after several days. it is set up and have tried it manually( no cameras yet) but works.
Thanks More
