Optimize your system to handle games better
GameGain is a gaming assistant for Windows PCs that helps ensure your system is performing the best it possibly can so PC games won't run slowly.
If you're a serious gamer then you'll need help to get the most out of your system and ensure your graphics card is performing to the peak of its abilities.
Similar to Game Booster, GameGain 2 is the latest version of the popular gaming assistant that attempts to take gaming to the next level. It can help you enjoy games like never before by using parts of your processor and graphics card that were formerly not in use. GameGain is quite easy to use and just requires the tweaking of a few throttles and switches to blast your PC into the gaming stratosphere.
However, GameGain should be used with a bit of caution because it does change registry settings and that could unbalance your system. GameGain works by making direct changes to system registry and files to enhance memory, screen drawing, animations, refresh rates, CPU threading speeds. GameGain's developers assure that it only optimizes based on the capabilities of your system and won't try and push it past anything it can't handle. If you do experience problems after using GameGain, the system analyzer should help remedy them.
GameGain might be considered a bit obsolete if you're a user who has the latest Intel Quad processors.
GameGain is a great tool for gamers who want to ensure their gaming experiences run smoothly

I'm sorry I installed it..
It stole my sound and neither a reinstall of the driver nor a system restore has worked.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: It needs to stop stealing the sound from my computer. More

About 98% Useless.
I just checked what it actually does using Sysinternals ProcMon and NirSoft's RegFromApp on an AMD Machine running Windows 7 Ultimate 64. Here's what it did not do -- anything worthwhile, at all.So what does it do?
Change a few registry values...and some of those aren't even used anymore (Source: MSDN).
Others like "Win32PrioritySeparation" are exposed through the ordinary windows interface anyway.Basically the whole application is just useless. Pretty much every "Windows Registry Tuning"-guide will yield better results. My guess is that - even tough there is 64bit support (the app knows about the 32bit "redirect" on 64bit systems) - its out-dated. It seems very robust and the "Restore" option did what it promises, restore everything to how it was before -- without fail.Note: That's my experience on a Windows 7 system, older setups could very well have more encouraging results.
Pros:
Will not harm your system.
Cons:
Will not speed up your system. More

Not convinced.
I'm not a big fan of programs that claim to instantly speed up your computer and as usual, this one didn't do muce to change my opinion. If you are going to squeeze performance out of your system then surely there are a huge number of variables that must be considered. With GameGain you choose your OS, your CPU and whether you want your performance to be Fast or Fastest...d'uuuuh. Oh and then hit the all powerful GO button and through the magic of a progress bar, your system, the very one that has seen too many programs installed and uninstalled, too many spyware invasions, too many crappy utilities that start-up with windows will suddenly be handed a new lease of life and you'll finally be able to play Oblivion at full res without performance issues.....not
Pros:
Simplistic doesn't do justice
May have a slight effect
At least the help file explains what is affected
Cons:
Probably doesn't do anything
Not very informative about what actually goes on More
