My Talking Tom Friends is a free family mobile video game that lets you play with Tom and his friends from the popular virtual pet mobile games. Developed by Outfit7 Limited, this cute pet game is one of the many games in the famous Talking Tom and Friends series, which involves adorable anthropomorphic animal characters. This time, you get to take care of 6 of them simultaneously and even play with them.
One home for all
Starting with the Talking Tom Cat app, the Talking Tom and Friends series had virtual animal characters originally repeating things said by the user in a modified voice. Quickly growing in popularity, these games eventually branched out to other gameplay mechanics, becoming kid-friendly apps that let you take care of these characters by feeding them, cleaning them, and interacting with them. However, these games usually only feature no more than two characters.
In My Talking Tom Friends, you can finally play with six of them altogether. The six main mascots featured here are the cats, Tom, Angela, and Ginger. There are also the dogs named Ben and Hank and the rabbit called Becca. The game plays out like how a family simulation game would: you drag the characters to the item, location, or another character they need—as indicated by the speech bubble above them.
Doing so rewards you with coins—which you use to buy food and other stuff—and bus passes—which let the furry family visit the various town locations for more rewards. Aside from taking care of their needs, you can also play minigames with the characters whenever they play with a toy. You can also enjoy fun activities like growing a garden for free food, dressing them up with unlocked outfits, and even redecorating the whole house.
No pressure at all
My Talking Tom Friends is the first in the series that’s in landscape mode, showcasing a spacious home for the characters. You can even easily unlock various items in the game by watching ads or purchasing them with real money. However, one annoying thing here is that even when you’re simply scrolling through the house, ads will play. Nevertheless, it’s a fun game for both children and older fans of the series.
