Cons: Interface is a little cluttered. Radio and video channels are obscure. Video, mobile and landline calling not available yet. A lot to pack into what is essentially an IM client. Supported by ads.

Pros: Connect with Mac users. Join groups and events. Good privacy settings.

Cons: Awkward chat tool. Closed network.

Pros: Fully customizable. Chat on multiple Jabber and IM accounts. Lots of tips and strong community. SSL encryption and OpenPGP.

Cons: Commands can be a little technical.

Pros: Sync contacts easily.

Cons: Limited features.

Pros: View chat history. iChat doesn't need to be launched. Search by buddy, date or keyword.

Cons: Not that easy to browse through.
