Pros: Multiplatform. Powerful image editing tools. Lots of interface tweaks to make it newbie friendly. Single-window mode. FINALLY runs natively on the Mac.
Cons: Can't view multiple items in single-window mode. Not many included automated features.
Pros: Completely free. Does what it says.
Cons: Seems to have some issues on 10.5. Won't start if you don't have a local drive connected.
Pros: Built in screen recording. Supports various formats. Quick edits like trim, split, rotate.
Cons: Basic editing features only.
Pros: Large library of plugins. Powerful search tool. Use of keystrokes to act on files.
Cons: Stability issues.
Pros: Loads of codecs. High quality. Rip and correct discs.
Cons: Complicated tagging system. MusicBrainz doesn't always have info. Multin windowed interface a bit of a turnoff.
Pros: Frees-up hard drive space. Allows you to specify languages you want to keep. Removes files instantly.
Cons: No undo feature. Should be used with caution.
Pros: Based on the same foundations as Firefox, etc.. New Mac OS X interface. Much improved mail features.
Cons: No way to import passwords and user names from previous versions. Not many people will need the whole suite. Some feel it has strayed from it's Netscape roots.
Pros: Very intuitive. Create your mini web. Sketch, note and link up.
Cons: Looks more complex than it actually is.
