PROS: Rich, advanced multimedia editor. Tracks location, health, mood and other life data. Option to store data locally for extra privacy. Included templates provide writing prompts.
CONS: Expensive collection of services available free elsewhere. No new feature development. Requires saving to iCloud for data sync. No support for third party cloud storage.
  3. PROS: Lots of customisation options, with extensive text formatting tools. Multiple coloured themes to choose from. Lets you create security passwords to protect privacy. Backup and restore capabilities mean you won't lose precious memories.
CONS: Nicely designed physical journals are available for a similar price. Some toolbar icons can be confusing and vague. Too many options for those who aren't good with computers. Writing by hand can be what makes journal entries therapeutic, which this digital version loses.
  4. PROS: Extremely snappy. Unlimited hierarchical journals. iCloud synchronization. Complete encryption.
CONS: Doesn’t let you delete pre-installed notes. Lacks external share features. Free version isn’t fully featured. No context menu.

PROS: Simple display. Highly intuitive to use. Good voice prompts. Detects multiple readings.
CONS: Little scientific backing. It can get you spooked. No guarantees offered. An entertainment app rather than a real tool.
