Pros: Quickly view and convert WPD files. Installs quickly and without fuss. A simple interface that makes the tool easy to use. Convert to PDF and extract images too.

Cons: Larger tools such as LibreOffice will open WPD for free. Cannot save to word (docx) files. Cannot isolate pages for conversion. Will not allow you to copy and paste text.

Pros: Much better OS X integration. Integration with SkyDrive and SharePoint. Lots of new and interesting templates. Collaboration possible via Office Web Apps. Outlook is now included (previously Entourage). Ribbon and Spotlight integration.

Cons: No Mac version of OneNote. Home and Student don't include Outlook. Outlook doesn't sync with iPhones. Only includes main components of Office.

Pros: Complete productivity suite. Optimized ribbon menu. Handy built-in search functionality. Spell check feature.

Cons: Editing options aren’t the most robust. No option to change the unit of measurement. Lack of proper updates could be annoying. Not completely reliable.

Pros: Looks good. Easy to use. Functions well on slow connections. Useful in-app and online help.

Autocomplete and autofill functions make entering and executing common commands quicker and easier. One window designs helps avoid clutter and maintain focus while still being easy to navigate.

Cons: Advanced users will still find working with the CLI easier. No support for templating functions. Missing some surprising basic features such as word wrap. Everything offered is available for free using other software tools; simply charges for the convenience of a GUI.
