I was looking for apps that have some grain effect feature and it took me here, screenshots are convincing for an example of some effects they offer so I downloaded it since its free, so far it's giving me the vintage effect I was looking for an app

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know sepia toning was named after the common cuttlefish? The efforts of photography enthusiasts paved the way for modern photography's birth. The monochrome age or grey-scale photo effect is all thanks to Hamilton Smith. The silver nitrate used for black and white photos were unstable by nature. Causing it to fade and to tarnish in a short period of time, so efforts to look for other ways gave birth to sepia toning. Indeed the silver nitrate was later replaced by a sulfide. That's seen on the extracted rich brown pigment from the ink sac of a common cuttlefish. Also known as Sepia Officinalis.

Today, social media channels are growing in popularity. Alongside the emergence of photo and video-sharing apps such as Snapchat and Instagram. This offers a way for developers to make photo editing apps for iOS and Android devices. These photo editors have effects such as oil paint effect, vintage filters, glitter filter, and more. On a feature article, Cazzie David talks about the top ten trends taking over Instagram in 2017. Topping the list is the grain effect. It is the filter that gives your photo a ‘film-like’ feel. Grain effect also makes photos look like snapshots on a film camera in the 1940s. It is also interesting to note that the classic ‘black and white’ style is trending once again. It is no wonder that nothing beats the classic. As Yves Saint Laurent once quoted “Fashion fades but style is eternal.”
