I could play this for hours during a family get-together, say after that delicious thanksgiving or christmas dinner when everyone in the house is relaxed and willing to play board games. Gameplay is considerably fast paced but not too long drawn, one can easily be engaged for an hour or two. This game is great entertainment for 2 to 5 players. Agricola is a turn-based board game by Uwe Rosenberg designed for 1-4 players. Players begin the game with two family members and can grow their families over the course of the game. The goal of the game is to build the most well-balanced farm at the end of 14 turns, consisting of ploughed fields, pastures, grain and vegetable crops, and livestock.

"You probably remember playing monopoly with your parents when you were a kid like I do and in retrospect you wonder how they could tolerate it for so long. But board games have come a long way since then, and Agricola takes strategy and holds your attention in the best way, as you grow your farm and family. You can play it with your kids or your friends at a party. There is a lot of potential tactical play as you get better at it."

"Came across this little gem and have enjoyed playing it ever since with my family. It's a good all around board game and doesn't get old. It makes you think and use strategies to win the game."
