"It's easy to forget that Amazon even has competitors these days, but Barnes & Noble is still my go-to. I read a lot of novels, and love having bookshelves filled with books. B&N seems to send me coupons all the time, and if you're lucky enough to still have a physical B&N in your area, you can buy online and often go pick up the book to skip the wait on shipping. Great selection as well."

"I honestly feel pushing religious and jewish books on children is not a good look for their summer reading. I am not a fan of indoctrination and while a kid may overlook the subtle religious nuances of the book and the preachiness, I, as a parent would not and would frown upon anyone trying to influence my childs thinking while they are trying to enjoy a simple book on a nice, hot summer day. For a jewish child, this book would be perfect, but for just a generic American kid, not so much."

"I can't count the number of times I've tried to get into this and other Tolkien books, without any success. In fact, the only remotely Tolkien thing I enjoyed was the Shadow of Mordor game, and that's only because it plays like a fun Arkham clone. Otherwise, again, hard pass on the books."

"This is such a classic! I really like the graphic format, and I think it should be on everyone's must read list. This is good for tweens and up. Fair warning, though, the story is NOT the same as the book, but rather a graphic version of the novel that is an edited, shorter version."

The book has good meanings and is very cute. The writing is perfect for children. I think all parents should have children read this book."

"I could not care less for this book and my son could not either. The pictures were not that great and the story was very boring. I struggled to get through it because it was so simple, but that is to be expected from a adult, but I was surprised my son despised it so much. We flipped through the book to pass the time after he finished his homework, but the book was not worth the time. He did not like the designs and really wanted more words on it, so he could practice reading."

I thought it would be a good book for him. I read it to him before bedtime and he loved it. I liked the pictures. I read it to him about once a week now."
