"I'm tired of companies tracking me and storing my data, and I'm tired of ads popping up everywhere, so this browser is definitely a good fit for me since it automatically blocks all that stuff"

"When it comes to browsers for my Macbook air, I still find the default Safari very reliable. Not only this lessens the hassle of me ever installing another software for my browsing needs, this browser is reliable and blocks most of the ads on the webpages which I do not wanna see. Good job Apple."

"I was looking for a browser that would not freeze up on highly, highly demanding sites and I finally found one here with this one. I feel like it is safer than Chrome and more performance friendly than Firefox. Overall, it is a good choice. I feel like it gets the job done just right. I can't really complain about this. It really does what it is intended to do. I can't go back to Chrome or Firefox anymore."

"Opera seems to be the most lightweight browser I could find anywhere. It doesn't take up much space on the processor of my old machine so I'm using this more than Safari or Chrome and so far so good! "

"Opera isn't bad, not bad at all. Though I personally have a limited experience with it. That being said none of my experiences were sour, so I'd say give it a go."

"I have three browsers installed: Safari, Chrome, and Opera, but I use Opera over 90% of the time. It's faster, and it is beautiful. Maxthon was faster, and I used it for awhile,. but it became more and more Chinesy, and I tired of the increasing amount of Chinese characters on my screen: speed at too high a cost. Other than that, I do look around from time to time, the last time being today. There is Firefox, of course. It is technically one of the best, but I deleted it from my computer when they fired their president for unacceptable reasons. But that's for political or social reasons, you say. You're damned right."

"Since I started using the internet on a Windows XP computer, Mozilla Firefox had always been the browser for me. I tried other browsers too such as Google Chrome, Safari, and Brave Browser, but this just stood out the most. Until now that I have a MacBook, I am still ditching Safari over Mozilla Firefox."

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that the best modern browsers can protect you against phishing? The risk of getting exposed to attackers is high. Most especially if you are not aware that the sites you are visiting are malicious. In 2017, Wombat Security reports that 76% of organizations have experienced phishing attacks. The masking of malicious attachments as fake invoices is a popular form of phishing. This tactic tricks the users to open the phishing emails. Email is also considered the most used delivery vehicle for attackers. Another study shows that updated browsers feature Safe Browsing technology. It can alert you when the web page you visit is suspect of being malicious. This means that it is up to you if you still wish to visit the site after alerts of its possible risk.

Knowing this, what could be the optimal browsers to prevent malware and phishing? Google Chrome is a browser compatible with Mac that features Safe Browsing technology. This technology works by conducting a check on suspected phishing and malware sites. The list of malware sites is on your computer storage to protect your browsing privacy. Google will verify the match against the local list and the web page you are visiting. If there is a match, a red warning page will appear to inform you that the page is dangerous to browse. Another useful browser with built-in malware protection is Mozilla Firefox. This Mozilla Firefox feature can be set and is like that of Chrome's safe browsing technology.

"I wasn't much of a fan of the default Safari browser on Mac. I decided to give Vivaldi a try, and I'm very glad I did. It's much more sleek and streamlined. It does everything Safari can do, but I feel it's laid out better. It's more intuitive and easy to use."
