This is an interesting game that has you defending against zombie as well as watching out for attacks from other players. The dread that you will have until you hear that terrifying and piercing scream every 30 minutes is worth it. More

Very atmospheric and tense. I'm not very into horror games... Playing alone is fine when I'm in the mood, but while playing co-op makes things a little lighter, it was really fun navigating through the game's dark environment, especially with a friend. Solo and multiplayer are both fine, but I definitely had the most fun playing multiplayer. More

Got this as a gift from my officemates. In my opinion horror is more like ghosts or something, but this game is more of a zombie gore than horror for me. Still enjoyable to play wioth my colleagues. More

This is like camping with cannibals and wild animals truly scary for me who doesn't like the outdoors. Its more like it made me more scared to go outside :'( More
by William Moreno
The Forest is one of the best survival games on PC and the creepy but beautiful game has earned very positive reviews on Steam. I especially enjoyed the crafting mechanics, you can build your home out of raw materials but watch out for the cannibal mutants! More

When it comes to horror survival games, Valve is one of the best. They are masters in horror and game design. From the sound to the sudden appearance of a smoker or a tank will have you and your friend in a panic. More

If you like to be scared out of your gourd by sudden, horrible faces pouncing at you, you'll love this game. And you'll be able to be scared out of your gourd with 3 of your best friends! It doesn't get much better than that to spend time on a dark and stormy Saturday evening. Or anytime really. The game is awesome, it's a lot of fun, it's fast-paced and not too technical, so it's easy to get in the action even if you're not a seasoned gamer. More
by Patrick Willis
When this was first released, I had second doubts. Will this game be worth it? But there's something really enticing about zombie games. I remember there was a time that there were lots of zombie games coming out. What I like about L4D is that it's so fast paced and heart pounding. Now with L4D2, the same effects on me are still on me and it's fun playing this with friends. More

Horror games are either very good or very bad. Most are bad. However, Left 4 Dead 2 gets it right. It's the best co-op horror game on Steam.
by Samuel Howard
There are a lot of great games on steam but there is always one that tops the rest. That game is Left 4 Dead 2. The first one was great but wow is this one even better. I love being able to play co op and it's just so much fun. Check it out. More

What makes this game different from the many other survival horror games is that sense of urgency and dread as the title of the game already suggests. The multiplayer aspect brings some interesting experiences to the table as you can either cooperate with others or cause each other's demise. More

Think Minecraft, but better graphics, more intense gameplay, more dangerous enemies, as well as realistic physics (no blocks floating in the air), and of course, DANGEROUS NIGHT PHASES. This game allows you to make defenses against zombies which are M O R E dangerous when the sun comes down, and spend the night defending against and endless horde! More

Hands down to this game. Really. I remembered the early access mode had been so terrible in terms of control. I couldn't enjoy this back then. But now that I was playing this with my brothers, I got to appreciate this game more. There are lots of maps we get to explore and crafting is cool too. More

When I was looking for a co-op horror game to play on Steam, I found Dead Space 2, and this game was incredibly entertaining. The game succeeds for me on two fronts: The first of which is the co-op playability works perfectly. The controls are seamless for co-op play. Lastly, the gameplay itself along with its horror aspect is just what I expect from a horror title. More

This game is like Star Wars gone bad minus all the powers but all the horrors of space. Creatures we cannot defeat easily and eats us whats scarier than that. More
by Ethan Ruiz
If you haven't played Dead Space 2, you are missing out. It is easily the gold standard of the horror genre. I've played it all the way through multiple times because it is just that good. More
by Benjamin Wong
I am one of the few who thinks Dead Space 2 is overrated. It has good gameplay and a decent storyline, but it just got boring for me very fast. Everything just gets old to me and I'd rather play other horror genre games. More

I would think the bot would link to a steam curator of only horror games, or a steam category of horror games, but it instead just showed one game. I for one do not understand why would it do this, as even the question has game in the plural tense. The bot needs to link to a whole library of games relating to the topic, not this one game. So this was no satisfactory. More

I've always wondered what happened to Claire after the Code Veronica. It just answered all my prayers and the best part about it is that I can play with friends More

I love the Steam platform, but have been bored with my choices for co-op games in the horror genre. Resident Evil Revelations 2 solves this problem by letting me play a game that is exciting and new. I really hope Resident Evil continues to make more games in this genre. More

Many games have multiplayer, but not many have co-op. It is nice to see a horror game, that has multiplayer co-op, and not just death match.

This game marks a welcome shift into cooperative gameplay for the series. It adds a nice new layer of gameplay and how to tackle the game when you have someone to experience it with. If you're looking for a great co-op horror game on steam, this is one to consider. More
by Elizabeth Guerrero
Not only introducing a new storyline, Resident Evil 5 also plays the role of embedding the story of previous releases to create a complete storyline, similar to the way Metal Gear Solid 4 did with his game line. Throughout the game, you also explore episodes and flashbacks that unravel the mysteries that have not been solved in previous versions. The success of each version of Resident Evil is built on two elements: action and horror and the rate at which designers blend them together. In RE5, this trend is further promoted. Less horror - more action, RE 5 becomes the "lightest" version of RE in the series. The RE 5 retains a backward view from the rear like the RE 4, while the weapon system is made up of pistols, shotguns, submachine guns, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and grenades. different players. More
by Walter Thompson
I love how re5 implements a co op feature, the old games are stressful enough navigating through creepy rooms and fighting a shitton of ugly monsters alone, but at least you can team up with someone and be scared alongside them. Fear is more tolerable when you have someone else with you lmao More
by Rubén Guillén
Resident Evil 5 is one of my favorite games in the series. Graphics that were ahead of its time and tense, nerve wracking game play make this of the best Resident Evil titles. More
by Kimberly Schultz
This game is amazing; the graphics and audio are perfect. This is definitely a fun coop game to play. This website has bundles with 75% off and the prices are great. More
by Sandra Ortega
In Resident Evil 5, players will no longer be alone. With the two main characters Chris and Sheva, the first time a player has a teammate shoulder to shoulder fight. Maybe Capcom wants to exploit the current co-op gameplay. The player controls Chris (who can only control Sheva after completing the first game); The other character will be controlled by a machine or another player "split-screen" or online. The AI of this teammate when the controls are good, is a good "fire divider" with the main character in the confrontation with aggressive opponents although sometimes there are some minor bugs in the corner. or automatically use healing objects when not needed. Friday the 13th: The Game is a co-op horror game on Steam. Is it one of the best? I'd definitely say no. This is one of the glitchiest games I've played in quite a while and updates to fix these problems are very slow. I don't even like the game play. It's sad because I was very willing to give this game a chance and looked forward to horror co-op, but this game failed. More
by Ismael Galicia
Still beta-ish state, you can bet that there are glitches that some players would gladly take advantage of, but once they tweak out those little bugs, this game'll be perfect since it already shows a lot of promise even before the official completed release More
by Walter Hart
The best co-op game I've come across lately is Friday the 13th: The Game. It is very fun. You can choose to be Jason or one of the campers. I love this game. More
by Dorothy Flores
I love anything to do with Friday the 13th (I saw the original when it came out) and this game is awesome! My PC had no problems playing this (no lag). This game is especially great since it is almost Halloween. I've even got my screaming down so when I play the part of a camper, It'll be even that much more realistic! More

Don't Starve Together stays true to its title from the very beginning of the game. You literally get throw into the deep end with only one goal; don't starve. I found it a lot of fun to figure out ways to survive in this well animated and quite creepy land. A fun game to play with friends as teamwork is necessary in order for you to, well, not starve together. More
by Yang Lee
tho it may seem cartoony, it gets dark rlly fast, and when it gets dark, it gets scarier and the enemies become even more grotesque, but its less scary when you play it with other people, and that makes it a good thing :D More
by Anna Fowler
This offers a new concept in gaming as I've seen in most games this has a simple goal. Yet getting that goal isn't really so easy as it takes a lot, like strategy to actually survive this game. More
by Norma Vargas
When I am looking for a horror game to play with other, this is really not the kind of horror I am looking for. I don't think starving to death, while unpleasant, is a horror. More
by Rose Campbell
Don’t Starve Together is an expansion pack for Don't Starve (a game that I love). I love it even more know because it's multiplayer. My boyfriend and I enjoy playing this game together. We've wasted hours on it and will continue to do so. More

I was looking for a good co-op horror game. I checked out Steam and found Rise of Nations: Extended Edition. I thought I would love it, and so did my friends, but we hated it. The "enhanced" features aren't that interesting. The game-play is mediocre. And the graphics are sub-par. I would not recommend this game to anyone that loves horror co-op games. There are much better games out there. More
by Jay Hunter
How the hell did this game even get onto the list of "Coop HORROR" in the first place, and how did the first person commenting even right their review and also calling it a "horror"??? More
by Grace Thompson
I've been playing the extended edition for a while now. I like that it is like the classic original but with more features. It a odd one has Twitch.tv streaming which is an added bonus. It completely enhances the playing experience. More

It is great as the rise of nations is a game that I remember, but would not play anymore otherwise because of the outdated graphics.
by Hannah Lynch
This is not really a horror game but it is still a great game to play. You build cities and fight to take over the rest of the world. You get to travel through time periods and even get a little bit of an education. It has a smooth feel to the game and has a lot of play time. More
