I've seen many caller ID apps and I think many of them are too complicated to use. This tellows app is the first one that I find quite easy to use. You can also see during incoming call whether you should pick up the call or not. It's very useful.

DID YOU KNOW?

When your phone rings and a number of the caller pops up on your screen, do you get curious who is on the other line before you pick up the call? With numerous resources to communicate more effectively to people, and with many ways to communicate, not all platforms provide you the details of who the caller is. Thanks to Theodore Paraskevakos for creating a system that lets the call recipient identify the phone caller. Did you know that it took him many tries and experiments before he developed the method? In 1968, Paraskevakos was working as a communications engineer in Athens, Greece when he made possible the transmission of the caller's number to the receiver's device. Clearly, the purpose of the invention is to let the receiver identify who exactly is calling and the phone number details. Interestingly, the caller ID technology, including caller ID apps, is still widely used even today.

Meanwhile, before the caller ID was invented, African tribes used to rely on talking drums in order to know if European explorers are about to arrive in their area. They used it as a form of communication, since it could deliver detailed messages from one village to another, and was known to be faster than a person riding a horse just to deliver the message. Research also shows that the talking drum could carry information for up to 100 miles.
