If i am not playing Civilization I am playing the Battle of Polytopia...This is sort of the same as the Civilization because in here i would alos have to lead a civilization into war and yeah i have to build an empire. More

I didn't like this at all. It was boring, and as if that wasn't bad enough, it would always freeze up and glitch, and then close out, which was really annoying because it happened at least once every time I tried to play. I ended up uninstalling it. More

Though not as intricate as the PC version of Civilization, the gameplay, graphics, and the features in the game definitely make it one of the best mobile games like civilization in the market for me imho.

Civilization Revolution 2 is pretty much the mobile version of the civilization games. It's really true to form for the series and honestly feels more comfortable than I thought it would on a mobile device with the controls and everything. More

If you liked the game Civilization you will LOVE this game! Tribal Wars 2 is super fun with the added benefit of teaming up with others online and fighting to defend your civilization that you have created. I liked being able to strategize with my friends that also played to take over different enemies. More

If you're interested in the strategy aspect then Tribal Wars 2 isn't bad. It directly as those empire elements, but not as much creativity involved.

Why is Forge of Empires not on the top 3 of this page? Come on this is a good alternative to Civilization for mobile users as it has all the basic function. Aside from enabling you to build your city this allows me to explore new lands and build ties with my neighbors. Amazing eh? More

i see this game a lot in ads and at first i was annoyed because it always kept coming like a rash. gave up on skipping it one day and decided to try it out and i must say i'm pretty damn impressed. creating your own city and upgrading it into one of the most impregnable fortresses in the land really made me hungry for more of this game. hope they improve some of the bugs and glitches that make the game crash and i;ill be sure to give 5 stars! More

Awesome , very artistic design and gorgeous music in the background. I love sci fi and this is a great game for that. You can build and expand wile creating paths to the monoliths. Kind of hard to understand at first , but give it a chance and figure out how to start your empire . Also would be nice if the UI was a bit smaller. Overall I really love it. More

Thought the name was a typo at first due to the really rather stupid name of the game, but as soon as I tried t, I got transported to my old games when I was a wee lad where graphics did't really matter and what made the game addicting was its gameplay. Glad I downloaded this one More

I have been playing Civilization on my computer for many years and wanted to play something similar on my iPhone. I found the game Crimson: Steam Pirates and it's a whole lot of fun. It's a strategy game just like Civilization. It's pretty detailed and very well made. Many real time strategy games have some exploits that make the game unfair, but this one seems to be pretty balanced as one of the best free strategy games for iPhone. More

Simple yet stunning substitute game to Civilization. THis game never fails to impress. I played this a couple of years ago because nothing new was able to be done. After coming back to it last week, though, I found out they added a ton of new stuff and it got me addicted to it again. In Townsmen you're building a medieval city with lots of cute inhabitants. I think it's a little more like Simcity than a Civ game, but it's definitely strategy-centered. There are missions and disasters and you can build your defenses to protect from bandits. Ads get in the way of enjoying the game while trying it out. More
