"This is really different from the life simulation games I've tried so far because it lets players experience what it's like to take care of an underground community in a post-apocalyptic world which I find rather interesting because it's not simply feeding or sustaining a family, it's making sure a whole community is safe from invaders and monsters outside."

"Certainly a fun life simulation game available for iPhone, but it may have too narrow a niche and not necessarily a full life simulation rather than a nuclaer fallout sim."

"I've always been an avid fan of the Sims games ever since I was a child that's why I didn't pass up to try this version on my iPhone. Even though it's not as extensive as the pc game, I still enjoy creating sims and making them this modern family I've always dreamed of. I also expanded my businesses and am living the best virtual life."

"Love this new sims app. I can’t stop using it since I downloaded it. I created my own little family from baby on up through adults and seniors. The costumes and outfits are so many I’ll never use them all. I’ve been building my own dream homes and decorating them in many different ways and many different styles. I’ve even got my,own personal pets. This is great."

"Tiny Tower is one of the many micro-simulation games currently available. You get to make your own buildings and people, and then pick most of the features you want you building to have. It's a great way to kill some time, and does replayablity as you can change what your end goal is and how you get there."

    WHAT'S THE MEANING?

A life simulation game is a type of game that places the player in a managerial role to control virtual lifeforms. In most cases, the goal of the life simulation game is for the player to survive and experience life as a human, animal, or depending on the type of creature being controlled. This type of game is also usually an endless game in which the possibility of winning is highly unlikely. The game gets to be played until the player dies in the game.

    DID YOU KNOW?

One of the most successful and popular life simulation games is The Sims which was first released in 2000 by Will Wright. His first prototype of The Sims was made in 1993, and it only involved a single Sim living all by himself. Wright thought that the concept of having a player to interact with his Sims was impossible, but the help of programmer Jamie Doornbos proved that it was doable.

In 1996, Simlish or the fictional language of The Sims was developed. Wright teamed up with linguistic expert Marc Gimbel to develop a unique language, which resulted in a fractured Ukrainian, French, Latin, Finnish, English, Fijian, Cebuano, and Tagalog. While Simlish has a set vocabulary of familiar phrases, it cannot be considered as a true language since it has no grammar and syntax.

"I was hopeful when I downloaded Virtual Families 2, that this would be a great life simulation game for my iPhone. However, I was disappointed by the gameplay and found it to be very boring. I was also disappointed that the only race that was available to be played in the game was a white family which made me feel somewhat left out as more races weren't included in the game."
