    by Charles Rios

If you've played the original PlayStation game, the visual overhaul will be the first thing that you'll notice in this game. It's a really admirable remake of the original that deserves a lot of praise for what it achieved.

DID YOU KNOW?

The first true RPG released back in 1974? Tactical Studies Rules (TSR) released that game and called it, Dungeons & Dragons. The next five years would see the release of others like Chivalry & Sorcery and RuneQuest. TSR released a follow-up called Advanced Dungeon and Dragons. Along with what might be one of the best role-playing books ever printed. They called it the AD&D Dungeon Master's Guide. The gaming industry started to grow in the early 1980s and RPG along with it. The hobby waned in the 1990s when Wizards of the Coast purchased TSR. D&D 3.0 released under the Open Gaming License (OGL).

Today's modern RPGs are a departure from the D&D days of old. Though that is not a bad thing per se. These games push the genre forward after all. Trying to introduce new and innovative gameplay mechanics and elements. Games like Dark Souls, The Witcher series and of course, Elder Scrolls. All these games have defined this generation's RPGs. This is also not limited to only PCs and consoles too. Mobile gaming has gone a long way since the days of the Game Boy Advance. It started with the release of Nintendo back in 2011. The best 3DS RPG games brought with them some of the most compelling experience at the time. They had solid gameplay, interesting stories, and great 3D graphics at the time.
