"Skyrim was already an incredible game when it first came out and subsequent updates and a special edition only add to its value and replayability. There are tons of quality mods that make even better from cosmetic changes to truly amazing unofficial quests and storylines. This is an instant classic and one of the best open world games ever."

"What I like most about this game is that it has definitely no rules when it comes to character creation. Personally, I want a magic-type character and it just tdoesnt affect the items I wanna equip. Btw, the abilities of your character increases as you progress in the game. However, some NPCs are often bugged in terms of their dialogues. "

"This may well be the last entry to the series that we will see and it's a great sendoff to one of the most beloved characters and franchise in gaming history. This is one of the best open world PC games that have ever come out in the last decade with a riveting story, intense action, and truly enjoyable gameplay from the main quest to the side quests. "

"Guys, I have been playing skyrim for quite a while now and all I can say is that Wild Hunt has a very immersive open-world environment that is thrice as large as skyrim. I was overwhelmed and intimidated when I first tried this because I have accustomed to Skyrim already. Side quests are numerous so you won't run out of tasks to do. I feel like the more I move on to the next quest, it jst never stops--make me move and move and move. The game plot is interesting too and immersive. "

Morever, kudos to the graphics designers and devs of this game, the graphics have greatly improved compared with the games played on Ps4--it now supports 4k res! I just hope they invest more effort in taking down the hackers that abuse unlimited supploy of money in game. I will yet to try the 30-player mode of this game. "

WHAT'S THE MEANING

Open world games are forms of video games where a player or a group of players can explore a virtual world without running into invisible walls like in linear games. These open world games have boundaries but are often displayed as unsurpassable forms of land or water.

 DID YOU KNOW

Did you know that Rockstar North and Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto is credited with getting the general gaming audience hooked on the open world video game genre? In October 1997, Rockstar Games released the first of many versions of Grand Theft Auto and quickly became a commercial success, recording more than one million copies sold in less than a year. The first game had a big impact on British culture that it was voted among the top 10 in the Great British Design Quest in 2006, along with the World Wide Web and the game Tomb Raider. Rockstar Games continued the series and even produced spin-offs, like GTA: London 1969, GTA 2, GTA: Vice City, and almost all were huge commercial successes. Vice City sold 20 million copies but was overshadowed by GTA: San Andreas in 2004, when it sold 27.5 million copies. All in all, the series had 16 titles, and the latest, GTA V, was the most successful yet, selling 90 million copies since its release in 2013.

It is a very strange take on the Saints Row games as the antagonists now appear to be aliens. But, I have found myself enjoying exploring the open world aspect of the game and trying to learn more and more about the story and kick some alien butt!"

What makes this truly standout is its deep-rooted martial arts influences the gunplay and the hand-to-hand combat is very reminiscent of what you would in a Hong Kong-style John Woo action film. Truly one of the great open world games that deserve more recognition."

"Far Cry 4 is available on Steam and takes a traditional first-person shooter to a new level with the massive open-world landscape it is working on. It takes a style of many similar games as I started out relatively low level and then can upgrade my stats throughout as I face higher level foes. There has been a lot for me to explore and the story has helped to guide me throughout the expansive landscape."

"Far Cry 4 is a middle tier open world game on Steam. There are plenty of better games and plenty of worse ones. The games is very responsive so the shooting aspect is very good but it suffers from a lack of vision making the overall gameplay a bit of a drag."

"Far Cry 4 is an awesome open world game. I always though these games were loads of fun. I like playing against others in a open world enviroment. I like the co-op the most. This game has the game play and graphics to keep me engaged for a while. Love it."

This game has a very nostalgic artwork, resembling old Nintendo games from the early 2000s. The gameplay is also fun. The only downside is the controls are very clunky, making it hard to control at times. Other than that, it's great."

Unless you have no other options or wanted to play around with modding you are better off playing GTA IV on the consoles. If I didn't get it as part of a bundle I wouldn't own it on the PC at all."

"Rust definitely has its advantages, such as a complex crafting system and structure creation. On the other hand, it can be challenging to get into, and the open world is limited to how well your own character can do in the beginning. Not the best game in the world, but definitely a well made open world game."

"Really wanting to get into an open-world on PC, I started looking for one on Steam. I ended up coming across this great MMORPG on Steam called "Villagers and Heroes". This game, while well done, is not very interesting. There isn't much to do and when you find something to do, it's very bland and uninteresting. Overall, this game fell short of my expectations. "

"The concept of this game is great! I enjoyed the ability to play not only on my mobile device, but directly through steam on my PC. However, its a clunky game that does not receive many updates. The player community is limited and replayability is just not there. I lost interest on my second character."

"Massive. Classic. At this point, I feel like everybody knows about this game and has spent at least a bit of time noodling around, or has dived in and been deeply immersed in it for countless hours. I'm a big fan and I have a hard time letting go of it once I start a session. The gameplay is fluid, effortless, intuitive. The visuals are out of this world - I could just stroll around and admire the scenery unfolding around me - it's total eye candy. I have to admit though, that if you want to play it in Multiplayer mode you might be disappointed - I've never seen a lot of players out there every time I tried. But the game is not really meant to be played that way anyway, so it's not a problem for me. Definitely a game to try, if you haven't tried it already."

Since the main character is dead, technically a ghost, they are able to revisit the scenes of the murder up close to see how a person was murdered and gather the clues to come up with their own hypothesis to the crimes at hand. The main ghost character gets to work along their living counterpart, a reluctant female, teenage detective; and together they combat and solve crimes of the dead, for the living."
