What are the best recommended books for training runners?

    "It's easy to forget that Amazon even has competitors these days, but Barnes & Noble is still my go-to. I read a lot of novels, and love having bookshelves filled with books. B&N seems to send me coupons all the time, and if you're lucky enough to still have a physical B&N in your area, you can buy online and often go pick up the book to skip the wait on shipping. Great selection as well."

      "Running to the Top has a lot of value contained in the tips and guidelines for how to train for long-distance running. It falls short in the editing and science part of things, though. The information about nutrition and injury prevention is not current with modern research, and many passages are overall simply poorly written. The running tips are worthwhile, but the book itself is not the best for runners who are just training and not yet knowledgeable about the basics."

      "Who thought you could brain train while running? I thought this book would create some loose connections between exercise and brain conditioning, but it was actually really good. I still use a lot of the exercises!"

      "This book is an interesting take on self improvement. While it is helpful for runners, it can be helpful for anyone, as it helps you understand and maybe become addicted to chasing greater goals and doing better that you once did. I learned a lot and there was a lot of interesting stories and humor throughout. I really enjoyed this book myself and recommend it to everyone."

I learned a lot and there was a lot of interesting stories and humor throughout. I really enjoyed this book myself and recommend it to everyone."

      "I'm not a big runner but I ran across this book and wanted to see what it had to say. I found it very interesting with a lot of great tips, even if you aren't trying to be a professional runner it's great tips for exercise."

      "This book was packed with all the science and physiology one would need to take on running. It's written at a level that beginners can start here but also where seasoned runners can learn something as well. My one complaint is the poor editing. Lots of errors."
