This isn't just one of the best text to voice apps for Android, it's one of the best apps period. I frequently browse the web at night on my smartphone and it can be so irritating squinting to read small text in the dark. If you have sensitive eyes like me, a dark room and a bright screen are a bad combination. The @Voice Aloud Reader allows me to have interesting websites read to me while I relax under the covers. There are a host of convenient features, including the ability to highlight specific passages to be read, a playlist where you can queue articles to be read later and a wide selection of language options and playback options including volume, pitch and rate of speech. This app has it all. More

Voice Dream Reader is hit and miss for me. I feel like the choices available that I can choose for reading text can vary from soothing on the ears to grating. That's what the choices and options are there for. It's just that the synthesized voices come off quite artificial to me and that takes away some of the immersion I would expect if it's reading back an ebook to me. It could just be my personal preferences and taste, but details like that make or break a text to speech app for me. I'd say it's worth a shot but there are better options available out there for your phone. More

It seems like a really new idea. I really liked the app considering we waste so much time each day waiting and commuting and this app helped me read the books I always wanted to read but had no time. Plus the most interesting thing is that the app reads what you have written so you can hear it in different ways. The only problem I think is that it is still a bit expensive for an app like this. ICQ its been around longer then most things on the net. Its come a long ways from the days of yore. Seems to be a multi style messenger program much like AIM. Sadly the big down fall for ICQ the user ID system which was numeric. It is nice that it has a speech to text messages. not good enough to pull me back into using it though More

Good app but it has limitations. It can only read ebooks.

This app is not actually a text to speech app. It is just a e book reader and the number of e-books that are compatible with the app is very limited. It does not read anything that I write on the screen. More

Awesome!!! This app works great !!! Good job to the developer. I downloaded this app because my wife is deaf. If I am not around to interpret what people are saying she really struggles to understand. She often feels left out when she is around my family who don't use sign language while speaking. This app could really help. More

I don't understand what the point of this app is. It doesn't even let you copy the text you enter into it to save elsewhere for later. There are dozens of apps that manage to transcribe your text without this limitation. More

Librera Reader is great! Exactly what I've been looking for. No limit to UI customization, plenty of reading settings. Even features an internal player for audio files and screen-off tts reading. Remote bookmarks (start/stop button on my headset) come in pretty handy. Thanks!
