DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that Xbox Kinect can detect the orientation and position of your joints, including thumbs? Unlike other Xbox One accessories, this one looks just like your own computer’s webcam. And as you may know, it is an electronic device capable of sensing your actions. It has then evolved since it being introduced in 2010 for Xbox 360, where it had an RGB camera, depth sensor, and multi-array microphone. The succeeding version sported a time-of-flight camera with a wider-angle, giving it a better accuracy. The Kinect for Xbox one can also track even without ambient lighting because of its IR sensor, making it more accurate than its predecessor. The newer Kinect can also determine the current weight on limbs, as well as the player's movement speed.

Unfortunately, Microsoft has officially discontinued the production of the motion-sensor in 2017. Xbox One S doesn't have a port for Kinect anymore. So players need to buy a USB adapter for the that. But, the said adapter cord for newer Xbox models also ended production on January 2018. However, Microsoft said that there will still be support for the owners of the device. With that said, Xbox One Kinect games are still available in your favorite retailers. But compared to PlayStation Camera games, Xbox One Kinect games are limited. And with the discontinuation, if you own the Microsoft console and the said add-on, you better play best Kinect games while support is still available.
