Offerup is a free app used for selling items locally in the U.S. and is available for iOS and Android devices. It is also an alternative to Letgo, eBay or Craigslist. Users can message each other to arrange a sale and meet up in person.
I wouldn't think of this as an advertising app, it is another knock off of craigslist.

This app does offer a good way to sell things online, but that might not be specifically what I am looking for with an advertising app. This does somewhat fit the search though. More
Listia is a free online marketplace where users can bid on things they want to buy. The listing process is very simple: just take a photo with your device, add a description an post it to Listia.

I have been using Listia on my Samsung Galaxy for a while to advertise things I no longer needed. It is really easy to use and I can get most things posted in less than a few minutes. I will keep using it to sell my items as it seems I get bids pretty quickly. More

This is something different to try out if others in the area are using it. I found it's limited because of that.

Listia is an okay service, but its more like a mobile craigslist app. It's really not about advertising at all. In fact, its something you'd probably want to advertise elsewhere if you're trying to sell stuff! That being said, the app itself works fine and is effective for ebay/craigslist style buying and selling - its just not an advertising app. More
Gone is a great alternative to Letgo and Offerup for iOS devices. Unlike these apps, Gone handles the delivery of the product. Just list your product, wait for an offer and, once it's accepted, Gone will pick up the item and send it to the buyer.

This seems like it could be a good selling service. I would much rather sell something like this than to meet someone in a parking lot somewhere.

Very good app to help you advertise your products or see products that are up for sale. If you are someone who sells products, you cannot go wrong with this app. I am yet to have a single issue with it. More
Classifieds is an app where you can post ads for pretty much anything you can think of. It's free for posting regular ads, and you only have to pay if you want your ad to be featured.
by Zachary Sullivan
This is simple advertising app that you can find a variety of things to buy. It is free but it also very basic. There are better options for buy and selling items. More

I tried Classifieds once at it was a terrible experience. First of all, it was lagging and crashing all the time. You have got to be a very patient and lucky to make the app work. Even if you overcome that barrier, there still are a lot of problems. You are limited in location options. I remember, I couldn't change the city and I was forced to delete it entirely. More
Free Advertising Network is an app that allows you to post free ads for your products and services. Once you create your ad, the app displays it on their network of websites, mobile apps, desktop apps. and emails.

Free Advertising Network gives truth to the phrase "You get what you pay for". Sure, it might work and you might get *some* exposure, but half the time the system bugs out and won't even let you set up an account. Then, as far as 'free' goes, you get limited access to websites and traffic analysis, lower priority, and relatively little exposure, and an app thats full of bugs. Then they try to sell you on their "additional services" that can increase your exposure and views - but once you give them your credit card info they will never stop billing you. Whether their company is legit or not, they feel super scammy. I would definitely avoid. More

Get your ads out there now instead of waiting for paid advertisements. It's easy, it's quick, and it's free. What else do you need to get started?
Letgo is a fast-growing mobile marketplace to buy and sell locally. Quickly sell things you list on Letgo and find deals nearby like electronics, games, clothes, cars, furniture, décor and many more. Users can also chat with others locally.

This is an interesting service to use rather than having a yard sale. I think I like this better.
by Roger Meyer
This app has potential but so far is a letdown. The chat is usually inoperable, and the community is not very helpful or friendly. This has a lot of work ahead of itself if it wants to compete with the long-established marketplace apps. More

This is a pretty good app for local advertising and classified. You would have to look somewhere else if you want to go bigger.
