Not "the best way to learn a new language" but it's definitely not a bad place to start. The biggest draw of Busuu over it's main competitor is the number of languages it offers, Japanese and Arabic in particular are pretty rare for services like this. You're not going to become fluent and using it for 22 hours isn't as good as a college semester like they claim, obviously, but if you just want to learn the writing system and some basic vocabulary and grammar, it's a pretty good choice. When I was struggling with my spoken English and was looking for some way-out to learn good English speaking skills, I found an article saying many positive things about EngVarta. I wasn't sure about it but thought of why not to give it a try. And genuinely this was the first time I was happy with my decision. Their strategy of making the process of learning is so admirable. As a recently graduated high school student and soon to be college freshman, I want to ensure that my English vocabulary is top-notch so that I can be best prepared for my college studies. I have been using the free version of Clozemaster for a couple of months now, and feel as though my vocabulary has already been dramatically expanded. I am really impressed with this app so far and plan to continue to use it until I start classes this fall! Would highly recommend this app to anyone else looking to expand their vocabulary. More
