DID YOU KNOW?

The first game machine appeared back in 1940? Dr. Edward Uhler Condon presented it at the New York World's Fair. He based the game on the mathematical game of Nim and had 50,000 players in total. The first commercial game system though was the Brown Box, released back in 1967. It could connect to a TV, supports 2 players, and was programmable to play various games. The 60s and 70s was the start of the trend of arcade gaming from Sega and Atari. By the late 70s, Intel had released its first microprocessor. This technological advancement made personal computers and gaming consoles as a possibility. The Atari VCS (later known as Atari 2600) released back in 1977 and was the first home gaming console.

The gaming industry has forever changed since then. Gaming consoles and machines getting more powerful. The community that was being built around it was also growing. Gaming sites and forums appeared where game enthusiasts can come together and interact. Games and performance for gaming consoles and handhelds are pretty streamlined. Developers only have to create games for a specific set of hardware. This is less the case for PC hardware and gaming though due to its modularity. Anyone can buy or build an affordable PC. It won't be powerful enough for AAA PC games though. There are plenty of games for low spec PCs that offer a fun gameplay experience. Don't expect too much in the way of graphics and you will still have yourself a good time.
