This application would only be considered good for softball because it pertains to all sports. However, softball is not a widely popular sport and may not get much attention on the WatchESPN application. I would say that better solutions are available for softball apps. More

TheScore is not a good app if you are looking for softball apps. TheScore is great if you are only interested in men's sports. It provides updates in real-time about scores & stats on all sorts of professional and college level men's sports. It does not include any information collegiate level softball. Additionally, the new update has made it slow slow it is almost unusable. More

Personally if I'm wanting softball I'd rather have a dedicated app, but still, you can't really go wrong with the official ESPN app. It's got everything in breadth, though maybe not depth. Good if you just need casual stuff.

I use this to track stats for the junior softball league I volunteer for. It can track just about everything you can think of tracking in a baseball or softball game. It is not any less detailed than what you would find on a sports website like ESPN. I don't find it as difficult to use at it sounds. Setup is relatively painless and all the "complicated" stuff is computed automatically without any input from me. It also has a neat feat that let's you cast stats to twitter in real time, just like the professional sports reporters. If you need to track states for baseball or softball, I can't think of an easier way to do it. More

If you are a coach or a player in baseball or softball, this is the app for you. It helps analyze and detect problems in a person pitching style and suggests how to fix it. Alas, the price tag is $5 and the app is rather buggy. I feel that if you really need help with pitching or are just interested in a app like this then by all means get it, but I feel there are better apps out there for less money that do the exact thing only better. This is a fun little app to keep track of our softball team. I like being able to compare myself to the pros, although it's a little depressing considering I'm swinging at 35mph balls and still batting less. It does keep the team together, though, and helps us pick batting order. More

Anytime I'm the one the has to keep score for our companies monthly baseball game I use this app. It's pretty simple and easy to use. It looks a little ugly, but it works. Form over function, right?
