The Qibla is the direction leading to the Kaaba, or the al-Kaʿbah al-Musharrafah, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is "The Cube" - a very sacred site built by the prophets Abraham and Ishmael. For Muslims, this may be considered their northern star - or where their purpose and devotion should be directed towards - the Islamic north node, in other words. And so the concept of the Qibla is supposed to serve as a reminder of this path, or this direction - and this is, in effect, where they position themselves during prayer (salah).
This app has been developed to help align you to the direction of this sacred place. It even features vibrations and sound alerts to make you aware whenever your device is - at the very moment - aligned with the Qibla direction. If you do not want to receive such alerts, no worries - this is completely optional.
