Rockman X DiVE is an action shooter from CAPCOM TAIWAN. The latest installment from the classic action series, Rockman X, this game will feature elements from across the franchise. Players will see familiar characters, stages, enemies, and abilities as they help RiCo and ViA fix the Deep Log. However, it will also bring something new to the table, such as smoother movements, automatic aiming, and 360-degree shooting. Although to get the optimal performance, this game requires Android 6.0 and up.

Same world, different experience

Rockman X DiVE will take place in the Deep Log, the same computer world as the previous Rockman versions. Here, an unexplainable error occurred, causing the data of Rockman X to malfunction. Players must take on the irregular data and save the Deep Log. At launch, you can play the legendary irregular hunters X and Zero. However, as you progress, more characters from the franchise will appear. The developers recreated the images and 3D models of the characters in this game, so expect brand new appearances.

Despite new appearances, players can still experience authentic Rockman actions. The game retains the characters' signature moves, such as dashing and jumping. However, it also added automatic aiming and 360-degree shooting. There will also be additional weapons, aside from the necessary sabers and busters. Players can try the beam sickle of Grim Reaper Sigma and tear through enemies. 

You can also collect corresponding chips by defeating the bosses and adding their skills to your arsenal. The game has a unique optimization that makes movements smoother. Moreover, it has button customization options, allowing you to resize and move them to your preferred position.

The app is the first Rockman title to offer a co-op system. With this, you can complete difficult levels with the help of your friends. There is also a Versus mode, where you can take on enemies in PVP battles using the characters and skills you've cultivated. However, prepare for some disappointments as the game comes with a few issues. For one, the PVP battles have poor match-making. It pits you against high-level characters even when you are low-ranked. Worse, both modes frequently lag, which is detrimental to the experience. 

For Rockman fans

Rockman X DiVE is an excellent addition to the growing action game franchise. It manages to combine familiar game elements with innovations to give the players a new and better experience. It could use a few improvements, especially with its performance. All in all, it's a game worth picking up if you are a fan of the series.
