2024 is here and that means a new generation of iPhones, iPads, Macs, and more, are on the way for Apple and all the fans of the American brand, which are not few.

In addition to new generations of gadgets, 2024 also brings new products for the company. For the first time, Apple will enter a new technological market with its latest product: mixed reality AR/VR glasses.

For those who don’t know what will come under the Apple brand in 2024, this list will help you get an idea. Get your wallet ready, because there are some surprises coming.

Apple Vision Pro

This is the most important moment for Apple in this decade. With the Apple Vision Pro, Cupertino will enter a completely new space and product category.

The Apple Vision Pro was officially announced for the first time in June 2023 and showcased the company’s vision for virtual reality. But they will also function as augmented reality glasses.

You can overlay virtual screens and applications onto the visible real world around the user. But it is also a virtual reality headset. It features a dial that allows users to fully immerse themselves in simulated worlds.

Apple plans to launch the Apple Vision Pro “early next year”, which means this year. However, according to Bloomberg, the launch is likely to happen in February 2024.

It is understandable that many potential consumers of the Apple Vision Pro felt discouraged by the exorbitant initial price of $3,499. But it is rumored that Apple is working on a more affordable version of the Vision Pro, which will include some of its most advanced features to reduce its retail price by $1,000 to $2,000.

Main iPad updates

Apple practically ignored the iPad in 2023. The company did not release a single new model throughout the year. But that only means that 2024 is about to be a great year for Apple’s tablet line.

According to Bloomberg, the iPad Pro, Apple’s most premium model, is likely to receive an OLED display and will be equipped with the M3 chip, the same chipset that powers the new MacBook Pro.

The iPad Air will also likely see an update that will offer consumers a model with a new 12.9-inch screen along with the option of a 10.9-inch screen size that is already available.

It is also very likely that the basic iPad will see an 11th generation release, along with a refreshed iPad mini, which was last updated in 2021.

Launch of the M3 for the rest of the Mac family

Talking about the M3 chipset, it is very likely that we will see Apple’s most powerful silicon chip arrive on the rest of the company’s Macs.

After Apple unveiled the MacBook Pro and iMac M3 in October 2023, it gave MacBook Air users a hint of what was to come. It also seems very plausible that Apple will extend the M3 to its desktop computer lineup, including the Mac mini and Mac Studio, in the coming months.

However, when it comes to Apple desktop models, it is possible for Apple to skip one or two generations of hardware updates. Just look at Apple’s most expensive computer, the Mac Pro. The M2 update last year was the first time the Mac Pro was updated since 2019.

If I had to guess, I would say that a Mac Mini M3 is expected, a Mac Studio M3 is also quite likely, and a Mac Pro M3 is almost ruled out, but don’t rule it out completely.

What’s next for the Apple Watch

Just before the holidays, Apple made the decision to remove the new Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 from its stores to comply with a judge’s order regarding a patent dispute.

Therefore, Apple will likely move forward with the Apple Watch in new ways in 2024.

According to Bloomberg, Apple has plans to completely redesign its smartwatch for at least one model. It could be the rumored Watch X model that Apple is planning for the tenth anniversary of the Apple Watch.

Some of the new features that Apple has in project include monitoring blood pressure with detection of hypertension and sleep apnea. It is also said that Apple is working on a new magnetic band attachment system.

iPhone 16

Yes, the next iPhone will be released at the end of this year, around September, as is the annual tradition. The iPhone 15 was released just a few months ago, so rumors about the next iteration of the smartphone are very scarce at this time.

According to reports, Apple is working to bring the tetraprism telephoto camera to the iPhone 16 Pro. This is the 5x optical zoom lens that is currently only available on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

In addition, just like all iPhone 15 models received the Dynamic Island that was previously exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro models, it seems that Apple will also bring the Action Button of iPhone 15 Pro to the basic models of iPhone 16.

It seems that the Action Button itself will also receive an update. Apparently, Apple is working to make the action button on the iPhone 16 a “capacitive-type button” instead of a mechanical one. This means that the action button will respond to pressure instead of physically clicking.
