As you can imagine, Content Warning was a huge success and ended up being acquired by 6.6 million players. However, its great success has caused it to continue selling like hotcakes after that.
After giving away the game for free, Content Warning managed to surpass 200,000 simultaneous players on Steam. After this, the game started selling for a price of 7.79 euros. You might think that, after selling over 6 million copies, there wouldn’t be anyone left who would want to get the game anymore. Well, you’re wrong.
Last weekend, Landfall announced through X that Content Warning had sold one million copies.
As we already know, this type of risky movements can turn out very well or on the other extreme, disastrous. In this case, Landfall has managed to succeed in a big way and make millions of players enjoy Content Warning. Currently, the game has decreased its number of simultaneous players, but it still maintains a fairly high average, especially for an indie game. In fact, in the last 24 hours it reached a peak of 30,440 players, according to SteamDB.
Content Warning mixes horror and absurdity in a quite curious way. First, we start in a childish world where four players decide to travel to the old world and record something scary.
