Any lover of literature has this fair engraved in fire, as well as the weekend of Sant Jordi in Barcelona. If you want the signature of that writer who keeps you awake at night, you can’t miss these two dates.

The Madrid Book Fair 2023 is going to be quite long, but it is not every year that the 82nd edition is celebrated, which is soon to say, but it is a lot of years organizing a very complex event full of activities.

Where will the Madrid Book Fair 2023 be held?

The Madrid Book Fair is held every year in the Retiro Park in Madrid. This is because the park is very large, so it fits the more than 100 booths that are set up for the event.

The organization, in addition, enables a space dedicated only to the Book Fair, in order to control the capacity, order the passage directions and manage the visitors. Today the Fair has nothing to do with what it was before, you will not be overwhelmed or feel lost among so many people.

Madrid Book Fair Schedule 2023

The schedule for the Madrid Book Fair 2023 will be as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
  • Friday to Sunday from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

New features of the Madrid Book Fair in its 82nd edition

The changes in El Retiro have to do, above all, with the design of some areas, the idea of gaining space for books and with a new way of articulating the event. This year the protagonist will be science… and the shadow.

The shade will be key in this Madrid Book Fair thanks to the tarpaulins that will cover part of the Paseo de Coches. Although, with the cold and the rains, it is possible that the tarpaulins will be more of an umbrella than anything else.

The number of signing areas has been increased from four to five, a rest area has been created, as well as a symbol in the shape of a light bulb that will be a nod to Madrid’s “Landscape of Light” and will serve to highlight the events that will be held each day.
