The truth is that no one is immune to nostalgia. Despite the continuous updates and expansions that World of Warcraft receives today, there are those who prefer to return to the Azeroth of the early 2000s. Hence the release of World of Warcraft Classic in 2019, which is already receiving the expansions after the game. Now, Blizzard will add Cataclysm, one of the beloved ones by WoW fans.

Classic players will be able to dive back into Cataclysm starting on May 20th (May 21st in Spain). However, you can also enjoy the pre-patch starting on April 30th (May 1st in Spain). This pre-release will add Goblins and Worgen, as well as a devastated landscape to Azeroth. The full expansion release will include seven new zones, nine dungeons, three raid dungeons, the Darkmoon Island, and much more.

Blizzard has also confirmed its roadmap to follow, which is as follows:

  • Pre-patch release – April 30th (May 1st in Spain)
  • Full release – May 20th (May 21st in Spain)
  • The Zandalari Rebellion – July 2024
  • The Wrath of the Firelands – October 2024
  • Twilight Hour – January 2025
