We’ve reached a point where we can’t go a week without new SPY x FAMILY news. And that’s perfectly fine. We consider ourselves fans of this unique family story featuring a girl with psychic powers, an assassin, a spy, and a dog capable of seeing the future. So, when it was announced that we now know when we can see the movie in theaters outside of Japan, worldwide, we couldn’t wait to share the good news.
As we shared recently, SPY x FAMILY is getting a movie titled SPY x FAMILY Code: White. With its release in Japan set for December 22nd, we didn’t know when, or if, this original story, penned by the manga’s original author exclusively for the movie, would reach the Western audience. Until now.
SPY x FAMILY Code: White will be coming to the West in 2024, thanks to the partnership between Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment. This means it will not only arrive in North America but also in Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Within Europe, confirmed countries include Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, Sweden, Portugal, and, of course, Spain.
At the moment, it has been confirmed that the movie will be dubbed for English-speaking countries, but there has been no confirmation regarding other countries. What has been confirmed is that the movie will be available with subtitles in all the languages where it is released.
If you haven’t started watching SPY x FAMILY yet, you can catch up on the first two seasons, with the second season still airing, on Crunchyroll. Especially because there’s still time, as mentioned, the movie doesn’t have a specific release date yet, beyond the eagerly anticipated vague 2024.
