Only Up! is the most popular game among streamers and there is no doubt about it. But if we enter Steam and try to download it, we will see that this game, released last May 24, has no page where to buy it even though less than twenty-four hours ago it was active and on sale in Steam’s summer sales. What happened? It has been removed from Steam.
According to Steamdb, the data source for all changes made to Steam pages, the game was removed entirely from the store at 18:15:17 on June 30, 2023. Although the reasons for this are not specified, there are two possible reasons for this to have happened: accusations of stealing assets from other developers as well as the possibility that the game has been covertly advertising NFTs.
SCKR, the developers of the game, have not made any statement at this time as to why the game has been removed from the Steam platform on any of their social networks. Whatever the reason, that doesn’t seem to have made a dent in its number of active players or viewers on Twitch. But in any case, what does seem evident is that, being that Steam’s policies are obscure and never clear, we shouldn’t expect it to return to the store any time soon.
