Marvel has regained its essence and the reason for its conquest of the entire fandom during the last decade. This is agreed upon by fans of X-Men 97′, the animated series of the company that is proving that the MCU can have a comeback in a big way thanks to the inclusion of mutants in its universe.

La venganza está en camino
Professor Charles Xavier, director of the X-Men school and the main mutant world reference, has finally made his appearance in X-Men 97′. Not long ago, we explained why he hadn’t appeared before in the series, leaving Magneto in his place. Although it seemed like he was dead, he had actually moved to space after being saved by Lilandra, from the Shi’ar Empire. And in this episode, we see what has happened to him since then.
Lilandra, the empress of the Shi’ar kingdom, is preparing a wedding with Xavier to make him, in turn, her regent. However, everything turns upside down when he is accused of being a terran (that is, from Earth) and of plotting a hidden plan to weaken her empire in favor of Earth. To prove his worth, they ask him to forget his memories on Earth and the X-Men, a red line he doesn’t dare to cross… especially when he finds out what has happened to them.
Mientras tanto, vemos a Storm pasando sus días con Forge, un inventor mutante que está tratando de restaurar sus poderes después de perderlos. Después de un enfrentamiento anterior y la amenaza de un demonio que ataca su autoestima, ella logra recuperar su antiguo yo.
En ese momento, lo que vemos es más bien un cliffhanger de lo que está por venir. Tanto Xavier como Storm deciden, ahora recuperados, regresar para ayudar a los suyos. De esta manera, todo parece indicar que en los próximos cuatro capítulos tendremos la venganza que esperábamos después del final del quinto.
