Another day, another Elden Ring patch. Despite the game’s immense popularity, quite a few issues have cropped up since its release. Luckily, the developers are quick to address these issues and have just released another patch, the second one this week, to address a bug plaguing players on PC.
Patch 1.02.3 addresses a bug that many PC players, especially those playing through Steam, experience. PC players have had quite a few complaints, and while the last patch addresses performance issues, one annoying bug remained. This bug caused the game not to recognize controllers connected to the PC.
The full patch notes for the recent update is minor, and it only addresses the controller issues experienced by PC players on Steam. After looking carefully at all mentions of the patch notes, including the notes released directly on Elden Ring’s Twitter feed, this is the only bug that’s addressed with patch 1.02.3.
In general, the response to Elden Ring has been exceptionally well, and the game has dominated most social media platforms. Despite the issues experienced by players, it looks like the game is heading straight for the top spot as ‘Game of the Year 2022’.
Although patch 1.02.3 does not address all of the issues experienced by PC players, it is another move in the right direction from the developers. FromSoftware has been very quick to act and provide solutions to the issues brought up so far, showing a real dedication to players. Until all these problems are sorted, be sure to check out an Elden Ring mod that lets you pause in the game.
